Lieutenant Gary Grauf
Since 1999, Lieutenant Grauf has supervised the Saginaw Township Police Department Investigations Division which includes members of the of the Investigations Unit and Crime Prevention Unit.
In addition, he oversees officers and detectives assigned to community policing, school liaison, District Resource Officers, and a STPD detective assigned to the Saginaw County Auto Theft Team (SCATT) and another assigned to the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (BAYANET).
He began his career with the Saginaw Township Police Department in 1974. He has worked as a patrol officer, surveillance officer and general assignment detective. In 1987 he worked as a patrol sergeant where he was assigned to head the Crime Prevention Unit in early 1993. From 1985 to 1996 Grauf was a member of the multi-jurisdiction Emergency Services Team.
Lieutenant Grauf holds an associates degree in Criminal Justice from Delta College, was the department Office of the Year in 1994 and Employee of the Month in January 1999.
