COLD CASE FILES

The Saginaw Township Police Department utilizes this area to keep residents informed of unsolved crimes. We pride ourselves on being able to maintain a high clearance rate for reported crimes. A vital fact in being able to solve crime that takes place in Saginaw Township is the relationship that we have with our business owners and residents. Open lines of communication help us to keep out streets safe and we greatly appreciate the information provided by concerned citizens.

Homicide of Roy LaFray.

This homicide from the fall of 2009 remains under investigations. We have followed several leads and hope that with input from a specific individual, we will be able to close the case with an arrest and conviction. If you have any information please contact the Saginaw Township Police Department's Investigations Division via telephone, email, or by completing the anonymous ONLINE CRIME TIP form. Your help is needed.

Nouvel Catholic Central High School-Malicious Destruction of Property

What can be described as a cowardly act took place this past fall on the football field of Nouvel Catholic Central High School on September 24, 2009. Suspects destroyed a memorial that had been presented to the school by the family of Brian Stevens after he was killed by a drunken driver in 2002.

The suspect(s) cut the head off from a large panther wood carving and removed it to an unknown location. Clearly with multiple suspects involved, someone in our community can help us bring the perpetrators to justice.

If you have any information please contact the Saginaw Township Police Department's Investigations Division via telephone, email, or by completing the anonymous ONLINE CRIME TIP form.
