INVESTIGATIONS SUPERVISORS
Lieutenant Gary Grauf
is the direct supervisor for the entire Investigations Division.
Directly under the Lieutenant is Detective Sergeant Jack Doyle.
D/SGT Doyle is in charge of case assignment once an initial incident
has been reviewed by a Sergeant from the road patrol division. D/SGT Doyle will determine if the incident requires investigation by a detective.
D/SGT Doyle has five detectives that are assigned under him and they handle investigations ranging from white collar and computer crimes to homicide.

D/SGT Malace supervises the Crime Prevention Unit.
D/Sgt. Malace currently is a coordinator of licensure for officers that hold Emergency Medical Technician and medical first responder licenses. He also is one of STPD In-Service training coordinators and serves as an FTO Supervisor.
Sergeant Malace is a member of the Emergency Services Team, the Saginaw Township Police Department Honor Guard and bike patrol units. He is a deputy medical examiner scene investigator for the Saginaw County Medical Examiner Office.
Sgt. Malace has attended numerous leadership in service training and most recently earned a certificate in Leadership Potential Development from the Academy of Leadership Associates in conjunction with the FBI. He also has received training from the Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Institute and the Michigan Police Executive Development Seminar.
Sergeant Malace was awarded the 2009-2010 "Medical First Responder of the Year" for Saginaw and Tuscola Counties.
